Getting Ready for School

Even the smallest one...

He tried to get that back pack on right.

Many times.

Then he gave up.

To personalize the kiddies back packs, we made shrinky dink charms and put them on keychains. They did them all by themselves, and were very proud.

Birthday Boys

These two turned a year older this week! We celebrated with cake,

sprinklers (Chad uses proper eye protection with water at all times),

more cake (a wii remote cake - used to replenish all of his buddies during the wii party tournament),

handsomeness,

and silly string.

It was awesome.

Recent Events

Sam has officially entered the stubborn phase of toddlerhood. He insists on dressing himself. And this is the result:

He wouldn't let me touch the shirt. Instead, I giggled and took pictures.

Today we had an all day park day. That's right, parks all day. We went to the Beaverton library park for lunch (got some books too), then went to Memorial park in Wilsonville. Coolest park ever. Play ground was fun, but the best part was a waterfall and river structure. I played too.

Then we went to Summerlake Park in Tigard for some scooter action. Kiddies found yet another playground. And then we fed the ducks sticks and leaves, they were not impressed.

It was a long, but fun day. I'm very tired.

Baseball

Chad just finished up another season of baseball. I love watching these games - the nice weather, the non-competetive parents, the concession stands. So fun.

We are redecorating the boys room with a baseball theme, and this is what Chad will wake up to every morning (Costco prints posters!):

Busy

Doing lots of this:

And most of the time, Sam's face is covered in chocolate (as seen here).

Family & Fun

Our trip to Utah was busy and fun!

We played at Wheeler Farm, where we worked the tractors, supervised the animals, and cooled off in the creek.

The 4th brought good food, fireworks, and face painting.
We also enjoyed a leisure ride on the Heber Creeper, and witnessed a train robbery. Sam confessed that he had no money to give. I probably should have explained that it was all pretend a little earlier.
Self-tour of the conference center:
Most of the cousins looking in the same direction:
Is that not the biggest dandelion you have ever seen? I hope he gets his wish after all of that work!
So fun, we miss all of you already.

Just in case you are a little curious, I made those collages on Picasa. Very easy!

Sugar & Sand

We have been out of town for a few weeks, and I took way too many pictures. Here's a few from a day trip to Cannon Beach with my parents.

No wind for our kite - I think that's a first for us!

My parents bought the kiddies some lollipops. It took them atleast an hour to eat them, they probably ate a little sand with them too.
