P52 - Week 4

Week four already! I think this is my record for sticking with a new year's resolution! A few of you sound like you may want to join in the photography fun? If so, I am getting my theme list from DPS, found here. They also have very informative articles. This week's theme is: TIRED.

1/100s, f/5.6, ISO 400

Tired of winter, gray skies, rain (we have had a break from it this week - yay), socks, coats, and the list goes on (Aubrey may just be tired of me taking her picture). Perhaps Punxsutawney Phil will have good news for us this year!

P52- Week 3

Theme for the week: MACRO (photography of very small objects). I don't technically have the proper equipment for macro photography, like a lens that can show you the hair of a fly. Kinda creeped out by just seeing them far away, no need to see them close up.

Here's something not as small, but much more charming . . .atleast on film (Aubrey's baby doll can be a bit chatty).

1/40s, f/4, ISO 400

And since it's Valentine-like, makes me think of chocolate. I can't wait to make (and hopefully share) these little babies!

Project 52

One of my New Year's resolutions is to work on my photo skills. Some very dedicated and disciplined people (unlike myself) are doing a Project 365 - taking a photo everyday. That goal is much too lofty for me, but I can do a photo a week (hence the title).

This week's theme is: COLD

Snow pics would have fit this theme so much better, but this is the cold we know so well. While out, Sam asked if I could take the rain away. Wish I could!

Need More Eggnog!

Christmas was good. We ate candy for breakfast, stayed in our pajamas all day, and played.

A few of my favorite moments from last week:

1. Sam waking up around 3 am and calling out, "Mom, I'm tired. Need more eggnog!" (see picture #3)
2. While picking through the tub of Jelly Bellies, we all decided that Margarita was the worst flavor. All of us except Sam. It doesn't sound good when a 2 year old asks for a Margarita.
3. It snowed a tiny bit, so we all bundled up to play in it. Aubrey and Chad attempted to sled down our hill, leaving a trail of mud in the grass. Sam was too busy eating the snow, and with his eagerness, he almost ate a tree branch as well.
4. Chad explaining to me that he is energy efficient. He needs very little sleep to have lots of energy. I guess that's why we are getting a tax deduction for him this year!
5. Dressing up Aubrey in a candy cane outfit. She's like the doll I always wanted.
