On New Year's Day, we headed for the beach. Before we left, we had to convince Chad not to bring a swimming suit and sunblock. Along the way, we passed through the coastal range and found snow! We stopped for a snowball fight where Chad mastered the art of making and throwing snowballs fairly quick. When we finally arrived, it had warmed up to about 60 degrees (still not warm enough to swim). We made a few castles, did some shopping, and called it a day.

Merry & Bright!
We have a new family blog - our last website was far too complicated! We'll see how long I last with this one. So, our Christmas went really well. After sneaking a peek at all the wrapped gifts, Chad seemed very surprised that he was on Santa's good list. And after all the presents were opened and played with, Aubrey claimed her favorite gift of all was batteries. We really did have a great time with them - they were very appreciative and loved everything (even clothes)!

That is so awesome that you guys have a blog now. It looks great. I think you should make everyone vote on the name and give an award to the winner.
I'm glad you had a good Christmas and New Years. We missed you, of course, but it is fun to see pictures of the kids playing in the snow and the beach sand all on the same day!
Hey, we need to see more posts!
