Since it's January and we don't have a whole lot going on, except a recent trip to Chucky Cheese (which I'm sure you can imagine on your own), I thought I would blog a little on Chad.

First thing he does in the morning: wakes his mom to tell her the time and the next meal

Greatest fear: Being alone in a room at any time of day

Greatest ambition: learn to drive before graduating preschool

Greatest accomplishment: started reading at age 3

Favorite word: Coupe or coop (not sure of the spelling or meaning, just thinks it's funny to say)

Strongest personality characteristic: very friendly - once asked for a girl's phone number at the library.

Latest Obsession: the Titanic

Favorite movie: Changes every week - enjoys documentaries on boats, airplanes, trucks, landfills
Favorite TV show: How It's Made

Favorite dance move: horse prancing

Favorite Book: any book on the Titanic

How can you not love the child?

Pro Bowlers

Recently, we took the kids bowling. Up until this moment, Chad's only bowling experience was Wii Bowling. We thought he should use a little more coordination and exertion. Chad and Aubrey loved it - Chad especially loved the shoes and was a little disappointed when he found out they were only rentals. Aubrey developed a few bowling dance moves. And James and I bowled quite well - I think the bumpers helped!

Merry & Bright!

We have a new family blog - our last website was far too complicated! We'll see how long I last with this one. So, our Christmas went really well. After sneaking a peek at all the wrapped gifts, Chad seemed very surprised that he was on Santa's good list. And after all the presents were opened and played with, Aubrey claimed her favorite gift of all was batteries. We really did have a great time with them - they were very appreciative and loved everything (even clothes)!

On New Year's Day, we headed for the beach. Before we left, we had to convince Chad not to bring a swimming suit and sunblock. Along the way, we passed through the coastal range and found snow! We stopped for a snowball fight where Chad mastered the art of making and throwing snowballs fairly quick. When we finally arrived, it had warmed up to about 60 degrees (still not warm enough to swim). We made a few castles, did some shopping, and called it a day.
